FAQs

New Students Pic

What if I just can't do a pose or I am not flexible?

All of our teachers are trained to help new students master poses safely and successfully. We believe in time you may master that challenging pose but, most importantly, if you have an injury tell the teacher in advance and then honor you body and personal limits. We support a non-competitive environment knowing that yoga is lifelong practice. We practice acceptance, honor the differences each day brings. Accepting where you are is not giving up but working mindfully.

Can Yoga help me lose weight?

Absolutely! Any of our Yoga classes can help you lose weight, though you may see faster results in our Bikram and or hot yoga classes as the additional heat promotes sweat, flushes the toxins from the body and maintains a vigorous pace. In all of our classes you will increase your metabolism and burn calories. Finally, you may notice that your daily Yoga practice makes you more conscious of what you are eating. Is it safe to practice yoga during pregnancy?

Most definitely. Yoga can be an ideal way to stay in shape during your pregnancy. This age-old practice keeps you limber, tones your muscles, and improves your balance and circulation, with little, if any, impact on your joints. Yoga is also beneficial because it helps you learn to breathe deeply and relax, which will come in handy as you face the physical demands of labor, birth, and motherhood. In fact, one of the first things you learn in a yoga class is how to breathe fully.

Why should I add yoga to my workout routine?
