Tween Yoga (9-12) & Teen Yoga (13-16)

Tween Yoga- COBBLESTONES (Ages 9 – 12) The “Cobblestones” Tween yoga class is for 9-12 year olds, which like cobblestones are bigger and more defined, yet still a little rough around the edges and are discovering their unique identity. Our dynamic Riverstone Tween Yoga program will help your tween bridge the delicate transition from childhood to teenager. Through fun yoga and mindful “games,” they will better understand how to recognize and handle new challenges they face physically, emotionally and socially. Additionally, your tween will benefit from these lessons in their everyday lives, enhancing performance on activities off the mat. Our program includes: • Breathe Deeply: Guided relaxation and meditation exercises to help them feel calm and confident in everyday life • Stressing/Distressing: Learning how to reduce stress through the practice of yoga and discussions • Creativity: Exploring through various activities in a joyful and playful environment • Understanding Perception: Through movement, they will begin to explore their intuition • Practice Presence: Concentration powers of yoga will help your teen make smarter choices • Build confidence from within: Increasing self-esteem by encouraging safe, self-expression through a supportive group of peers. Most of all, through Riverstone Yoga Tween Yoga, your tween will benefit from yoga in his/her everyday life, and have fun doing so!


Teen Yoga- GEMSTONES (Ages 13 -16) The Riverstone “Gemstones” Teen yoga program has been developed to build your teen’s personal power, friendships and discover and celebrate his/her own unique, beautiful and brilliant “gem” within. The “teenage years” are a tumultuous and delicate time in one’s life academically, emotionally and socially. Through yoga, your teen can been given an opportunity to celebrate and respect who they are now, as well as receive tools to handle school stressors, peers and other pressures in calm, constructive and benefical ways.
